Dr Tania Morgan
Gynaecologist Specialist
Dr. Tania Morgan is a Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with a special interest in robotic and minimally invasive surgery.
She consults at Women's Health Road, Allcare Gynaecology in Newcastle and Maitland Private Hospital Specialist Centre.
Dr. Morgan completed her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Boston at Harvard and TUFTs Universities. She spent 18 years working in women’s health in the United States where she also did advanced training in robotic surgery and was a Clinical Professor at the Medical College of Georgia. She then returned to Australia in 2014 and was granted a Fellowship of the Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Dr. Morgan completed her medical degree (MBBS) at Flinders University, South Australia. Further qualifications include a Master’s In Public Health Degree at Emory University in the United States and a Certificate in Clinical Education from Flinders University. She also has advanced training in gynaecological ultrasound.
Dr. Morgan is a senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle. She has been involved in medical student and registrar training over the last nine years at John Hunter and Maitland Clinical Schools.
Dr. Morgan has over twenty years’ experience in women’s health and can help women achieve improvements in the following areas through medical, surgical and alternative therapies:
Colposcopy, vulva and cervical screening abnormalities
Menopause
Abnormal periods
Her main goal is to empower women in their health care decisions and support them to have a quick return to normal activities if surgery is recommended with minimally invasive (key hole) surgical techniques. In her free time she spends time with her three children and enjoys the beaches close by with her dog Lily.
