Dr Talat Uppal is a distinguished healthcare consultant and gynaecologist currently a visiting medical officer at Macquarie University Hospitals and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospitals. With a DDU sonographic qualification, she specialises in ultrasound. She leads Women's Health Road, where she has pioneered a digitally integrated, multidisciplinary gynaecology service, including the first abnormal uterine bleeding hub and in-house ultrasound facilities.

As a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Macquarie University, Dr. Uppal has held leadership roles, including Clinical Director of Women's, Children & Family Health. She is a Fellow of the Australian Association for Quality in Health Care and the Australasian College of Health Service Management. Dr. Uppal founded Bleed Better, a non-profit organisation that raises awareness about heavy menstrual bleeding.

Actively involved in advancing women's health education, she serves as a RANZCOG media spokesperson and participates in various committees. Dr. Uppal is fluent in three languages and has extensive overseas experience, including volunteer teaching.
