Dr. Jane Li is a specialist anaesthetist. She completed her anaesthetic training in Auckland and Perth and is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. She also holds postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Ultrasound (Melbourne) and Public Health (Auckland). Working in both public and private hospitals, she provides anaesthesia services for a wide range of surgical subspecialties, including neurosurgery, vascular surgery, ENT, plastics, orthopaedics, general surgery, ophthalmology, endoscopy, and interventional cardiology procedures. With experience in paediatric ICU and paediatric retrieval, she also anaesthetises children over 12 months old.

Dr Jane Li has extensive experience in gynaecology and obstetric anaesthesia and has developed a strong interest in women’s health. She will listen to and respond to your concerns, tailor the anaesthesia to suit your needs, and ensure a safe perioperative journey.

Her other professional interests include airway teaching, regional anaesthesia, and peri-operative transthoracic echocardiography. She co-founded the International Airway Management Society and received the Distinguished Training Award in 2022. Dr Jane Li is also a conjoint senior lecturer at the Medical School of Newcastle University. She is involved in teaching anaesthetic registrars and medical students.
